Reservations

Reservations are NOT REQUIRED for regular tastings. Reservations ARE REQUIRED for the Private Tasting Experience.

Groups

We can take groups at both Hazlitt Winery locations!

• Groups of 6 or fewer: can always accommodate and no reservations are needed for wine/cider/wine seltzer flights. We cannot split up groups for tastings.*
• Groups of 7-18: can accommodate on a first-come, first-served basis for wine/cider/wine seltzer flights. No reservations are needed. We cannot split up groups for tastings.*
• Groups of 18+: may be able to accommodate your group Monday-Thursday for wine/cider/wine seltzer flights. Please call ahead, a reservation is required. We cannot split up groups for tastings.*

If you arrive with your group at either Hazlitt winery location and we are unable to accommodate you, we invite you to enjoy a glass of wine, wine slushies, food, shop the gift shop, etc. inside (if space permits) or at our outdoor bar, The Oasis (located at Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards, Hector, NY) while you wait.

If you have questions about your group size or tasting experience, please call the winery directly as that is the fastest way to receive a response.

Private Charter Groups interested in a tasting experience at Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards, Hector, NY, please call us at 607-546-9463 and ask to speak to a manager.

*For the best flight-tasting experience, we keep groups (large or small) together; we do not split them up into smaller group sizes.

Private Tasting

A Private Tasting Experience is available for groups of 7-12. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED BY PHONE and must be made at least 24 hours in advance of a visit. The fee is $20/per person. Payment for a group is collected at the time of reservation. Cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to the visit to receive a full refund. The Private Tasting is led by a Wine Guide and includes wine/cider/wine seltzer flights paired with a charcuterie board with local meats and cheeses in a private tasting room. Plan for about 50 minutes for the experience. This Private Tasting Experience is available at both winery locations.

Limos and buses are welcome.

TIP: Weekends in the summer and fall are when we see the majority of our visitors. If you are looking for a more intimate, quiet experience, we recommend visiting on a weekday and/or in the winter or spring (it’s also a great opportunity to run into a winemaker or owner).
